Arabic Language and Assamese Peoples: A Socio-Cultural Affinity

Abstract

This research paper discusses the literary osmosis between the Arabic language and Assamese culture and more precisely it traces the issues of influence and being influenced between the Assamese people and Arabic language. Many Arabic words, terms and vocabularies on Assamese culture has been influencing since the middle ages up to modern period which are raised in this paper. The influences of Arabic language particularly on the Muslim culture have transfer with the ways of trades, using, studies and more other results are mentioned in the content of this paper. The study modestly attempt to analyze and investigate on the research topic through screening the quantum of influences which already were carried out by pirs, preachers and saints etc.
