Abstract
This study is a citation analysis of 32 Ph. D theses submitted from 1998 to December 2023 at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Finance and Agricultural Business under the faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at BAU, Mymensingh. The author analyzed 3210 citations in the Ph.D theses chronological distribution, year-wise and guide-wise distribution of citations, and source and length-wise distribution of said citation. The study shows that, majority of research scholars prefer to publish research papers in joint authorship and the also prefer journals and books.
