SOCIAL INCLUSION OF TRANSGENDER THROUGH EDUCATION IN INDIA: A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY OF GORAKHPUR IN UTTAR PRADESH

Abstract

This sociological study aims to explore the challenges and opportunities related to the social inclusion of transgender individuals through education in the city of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. In India, the transgender community has always experienced prejudice, marginalisation, and exclusion from mainstream culture. Their social inclusion, self-determination, and general wellbeing have the potential to be accelerated by education. This study aims to comprehend the current condition of transgender education in Gorakhpur, identify inclusion challenges, and provide tactics for fostering their educational involvement, access, and achievement. The project will collect information from transgender people, educational institutions, community organisations, and other stakeholders through qualitative research methods like interviews, focus groups, and observation. The results of this study will add to the body of knowledge on transgender issues, education, and social inclusion by offering insights that can guide practise and policy targeted at improving equality and inclusivity for transgender people in India.
