Tribal Life in Base Camps and Structural Change (With special Reference to South Bastar of Chhattisgarh State)

Abstract

Present paper is based on impact of naxal movement on tribal people of baster region of Chhattisgarh state. Following the purposive sampling technique 300 tribal migrants were selected as respondents. As a tool for the collection of data an interview-schedule was constructed. After analyzing the data it was found that tribal people those who are lived in base camps were totally cut from their native places and own culture also because, in base camp they were living in different cultural groups, there were no normal tribal life. Its impact on tribal culture marriage, family and kinship also.
