A Study of Values of Secondary School Teachers in Relation to Their Gender

Abstract

The Present study has been conducted to investigate the values of secondary school teachers in relation to their gender. The study was conducted on a sample of 600 teachers of secondary schools of six districts in Uttar Pradesh. The Teacher values inventory (Singh, H.L. and Ahluwaliya, S.P., 1981) was used to collect the data. The results of study revealed that values of secondary school teachers differ significantly in relation to their gender. Female secondary school teachers had high level of theoretical, aesthetic and social values than male teachers and the male teachers had high level of economic, political and religious value than female teachers.
