Abstract
Morbidity pattern is actually a disease pattern of a certain population. Morbidity pattern always depends upon on various causes like climate, food habits etc. The present study has been done on morbidity pattern among the Toto tribe of West Bengal. The study has been completed at Toto Para of Alipurduar district, West Bengal. The present study has been done to understand the scenario of morbidity pattern and reason of the diseases among the Toto tribe throughout the whole season. Various data collection methods like Interview, Questionnaire, and non-participant observation has been applied to collect data. To complete the present study the whole one year has been divided into three divisions on the basis of month. First division was December to March, second was April to July and last was August to November. The present study has been tried to find out the morbidity pattern from each division. After completion of the present study, it has been observed that maximum number of people were suffering from acidity, cold and fever throughout the whole year. It has also been observed that during monsoon the Toto people were extensively suffering from fever and skin problem. Tuberculosis and cardiac patients have also been found among them and they generally are experiencing chest pain, breathing problem, coughing with blood etc.
