Abstract
The Trans Giri region of District Sirmour in Himachal Pradesh harbors rich medicinal plant diversity, essential to indigenous healthcare systems. This study explores their ethnobotanical significance, traditional uses, and threats from habitat degradation, overharvesting, and modernization. Through field surveys and interviews, it documents key species and highlights the need for conservation strategies integrating traditional knowledge with scientific methods. Sustainable harvesting, community participation, and policy interventions are crucial for preserving these resources. Educational programs can further enhance biodiversity awareness. Protecting medicinal plants and indigenous wisdom supports local healthcare and contributes to global biodiversity conservation.
